About DPO

DPO

Ahhh… what is DPO you ask? To which I answer…I don't think anyone is quite sure. The creative force of DPO was born many years ago during a collection of geography, English and other often dull lessons. Due to stringent no talking rules, conversations between people took place in a book passed around and from this, DPO evolved. Simple conversations grew into more elaborate scripts and into short cartoons and various other sketches, doodles, in-jokes and other creative spurts. Relatively recently the name “Death pit offering Productions” was entitled to this strange conglomeration of creative mismatches. The name is generally believed to be stolen from a card in the game of Magic the Gathering (a card game popular for a time among some of the members of DPO) although Tom insists that he came up with it.

The modern DPO focuses mostly on scripts and hopefully creating them in film. There has also been a wide number of one off sketches that, if the tapes can be found, will one day be put on the website. There have also been a number of other ideas, including various musical numbers and other dramatic projects. Sadly due to a variety of problems ranging from illness to ill timed family holidays to just plain laziness, many of these wonderfully comedic projects will undoubtedly not come to pass, but on those ones that are, the strange and twisted humour can make one laugh and cringe.
